I'm Not

I'm not some amazing singer
I won't pretend to be
I'll just go to my room where you can't hear
And sing my heart out

I'm not the best artist
I've never claimed to be
But that won't stop me
From making all the art I want.

I'm not the best musician
My fingers are too slow
Lots of black in scares me
I won't fake it.

I'm not the best athlete
I'm slow, and endurance challenged.
Competitive
Yet, discouraged

I'm not a good dancer
In fact, it looks more like flailing
I thought I'd inherit the gene
From my 'prima ballerina' mom

I'm not a people person'
I like the quiet
I don't have good social skills
And it's quite obvious

I'm not a public speaker
Big groups make me nervous
My voice cracks and changes
But somehow, I get through it

I'm not a good writer
I can't finish a story
Or even get halfway
But I have many attempts

I'm not a poet
I've got no rhyme
In fact,
This poem probably sucks.
