She stalks her prey
It's late; it's dark
Footsteps hushed
Breathing sliently
A calm façade
Her clever ruse
Eyes wild
Dancing with excitement
She told herself she'd do it
He broke her heart
"I'm going to kill him."
She'd angrily said
Not one to make in vain threats
She'd follow through
Now in her trembling hands
She held the dagger
He turned down an alleyway
She follow in pursuit
He didn't see her
Didn't hear her
She edged closer
Lifted a hand to cover his mouth.
Trembling fingers locked.
She was really going to do this.
He didn't scream
He didn't yell
For the hand covered his mouth
All to well
What strange for it was
That allowed a small girl
To be stronger
Than a well built boy
Took the dagger and
With quick violent thrusts
Cut open his back
And pooled his blood
Adrenalin rising
With frenzied excitement
Picking up pace
Eyes wild
Thirty-two stabs to the back
He didn't scream, didn't call out
Even when the hand fell away
He turned
Eyes wide and fearful
But glad to see her face
She stood
Maniac gleam in her eye
Confusion sweeping through
His expression softened
Even as he choked
And staggered
She smiled wide
And demented
Held the dagger up
To show him
Tears sprung in his eyes
And hand reached for her cheek
Comforting her, softly he said
"I'm sorry, Scarlet."
"Sorry!?" She exclaimed
Then slapped his hand away
With one more swift stab
She stuck him in the chest
"Scarlet." He choked as his eyes widened
He teetered back and forth
She was getting what she wanted
But why did something feel wrong?
"Scarlet," he said, falling forward, "I love you."
Landing in her arms,
Scarlet was left
Holding her dead love whom loved her
It's late; it's dark

Another poem of mine which involves death, and people with their fair share of problems... Goodness, what's wrong with me? Hehe, anywho...
